Slide Retraction

I have a 2021 30’ Hurricane and I am having problems with the slide out,I am not able to get service in the unit until July 29,my question is has anybody had to manually push the slide out in ,I am receiving different information on how to do it ,I would like to hear from someone that has done it .My only answer is not to open the slide and take a chance of not being able to bring it back in .If I don’t open the slide It will obviously be very tight camping

If this is a full wall slide open it at your own risk. What is wrong with the slide that will allow you to open but not close the slide.

Your Schwintek slide manual gives you 3 ways to get the slide in if it doesn't go in normally.

There are only two ways you are going to move a slide in.... or out... if it is not operating properly.

You can use the Electronic Manual Override option or you can disengage the motors and attempt to push the slide in with several people (not an easy task).

Below are the LCI instructions that cover most Schwintek slides for the two procesures.

If you are out of warranty, I would seriously consider replacing the Schwintek Slide Mechanism with then Vroom Slide System. I had the Vroom Slide System installed in my '20 Magnitude SV34last October and it is night and day in terms of operation and reliability. It will cost you ~$3000 but it will the best investment you can make.

The Schwintek Slide Mechanism is a very poor design for a heavy, full-wall slide. I have read several people spend $1500 - $5000 to repair their Schwintek Mechanism only to have more problems. It is throwing good money after bad. Have the Vroom System installed and never look back.

I think it's time for a "Schwintek in wall slide system" title under the "Thor Tech Forum " there are a lot of problem solvers here and personal experience with work arounds and advice. Don't need complaints and negativity just help and advice.
