2014 Thor Palazzo 36.1 Radio Problem - not the usual

I purchased this MH about three weeks ago and like any good technology freak set about replacing the radio. In my case I chose another Jensen, the JRV9000r, because it had three camera input, bluetooth, navigation and on and on ... Now the bad news ... Wired everything up and it works great, but that was sitting in my driveway on shore power. On Thursday I went to take it in to the Freightliner Dealer for maintenance and wouldn't you know it, no radio and no cameras with just the ignition on ...

Got it back and pulled the radio out; the fuse is good and so is every other 12v fuse I can find inside or out ... Two hot leads on this radio, constant battery voltage (yellow wire), and the 12v ignition or house trigger (red wire) ...

What's got me stumped is that the red wire is hot with the main on and not with the ignition on ... HHEEEEEELLLP!!!!

Does it have a lockout wire? On the Jensen 215 there is a wire that has to go to the e-brake: It locks out features like DVD playback unless the e-brake is set. Perhaps that isn't connected up (If I remember correctly it needs to be grounded).

Speaking of ground do you have the grounds all connected?

2014 Thor Palazzo 36.1 Radio Problem - not the usual

Great points Dr. Geek ... As it turns out the old radio didn't have the pink lock out in the harness and I "assumed" you only needed it for the DVD which I probably wouldn't use ... That's easy enough to change ... I'll give that a shot and let you know the outcome ...

Thanks!

On second thought, pink wire grounded or not shouldn't prevent power from the ignition ... must be somewhere in the switch over from shore power to ignition source ... Relays?
