2015 accord hybrid

I have a 2016 Thor Ace 29.3 and want to tow my Hybrid accord but the owners manual is no help. Any suggestions on how this can be accomplished. Was thinking a tow dolly but not sure if that will work because of the hybrid. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I don't see why you couldn't pull it on a dolly: Its front wheel drive just like any other hybrid (I dolly tow our C-Max).

Thanks Jamie. I saw that chain but they never answered the question and when you look at the list of cars to tow Honda does not have any listed. BTW is C-Max a hybrid FWD?

Yes both the C-Max hybrid and C-Max Energi (plug-in hybrid) are FWD (the Energi just has a bigger battery and is heavier). (In addition Ford says both are towable 4-down.)

So far we've pulled both our C-Max Energi and my wife's FWD Escape on our EZ-Tow dolly without issue.

Not with a dolly. Just pull it on, strap it down, and hook up the safety's.

Many people will put auxiliary brake lights on the back in case the people behind you cannot see the lights on the dolly. So far I haven't done that.

Aren't lights required by law a certain distance from back of vehicle? I thought it was in the 3-foot range.

If your brake and tail lights are on dolly, doesn't that leave most of your car hanging off the back?



P.S. -- Doesn't Honda (maybe under Acura brand) have a hybrid with electric motors powering rear wheels also? Wonder if those hybrids can be towed on dolly?

Don't know about the laws--so far haven't been stopped, but haven't really pulled the cars much (I think 3 or 4 trips total).

Looks like the majority of the laws say something like "Plainly visible from X feet to the rear" (X = 500, 1000, 5000, etc.):

A lot of them also call for reflectors but most cars have red reflecting lights in the rear and yellow ones in the front.

Yes most of the car is hanging off the back. In a turn the car could block the lights on one side but many of the laws above state "at least one light".

Not sure about the accord but my Lincoln MKZ hybrid can be dolly or flat towed. It does have a transmission (computer) setting for Neutral Tow whenever it is towed on dolly or four down.

Where is this "neutral tow " . I have liked in the manual ,that doesn't
help . Must the steering be locked ? What dolly are you using ?
