Most 2 wheel drive vehicles with automatic transmissions can not be towed with the drive wheels on the ground. The trans lubrication is pump is driven by the engine and not the drive shaft. Of course you can tow it for short distances if the engine is running. There was at one time a drive shaft decoupler available for the old Tundras. You might find on on the used market.
