Dolly on a 2017 Range Rover Sport

Can a 2017 Range Rover Sport be put on a tow dolly without drive train damage to the RR?

Normally I would ask what your Owners Manual says about it but apparently towing the vehicle is not something they put in the manual.

So in reality you probably need to contact the manufacturer with your question (not the dealer, that's a crap shoot). Any response here is not something I'd trust the welfare of my vehicle to.


An educated guess would be NO, you can't put it on a dolly. Almost all 4WD and AWD vehicles are NOT DOLLY TOWABLE due to possible damage to the transfer case.

If it's not in the owners manual, and not a manual transmission with a manual shift transfer case (which is VERY doubtful)... the ONLY answer I'd put stock in is DIRECTLY from the manufacturer of the vehicle. You're probably not gonna like their answer...

I did find some info on that make / model, the link is below. I would agree that you should contact the manufacturer as a previous thread suggested. Too important to get it wrong and mess up your trip.
