2017 Miramar Towing

I have a 2017 Miramar 37.1 with a 8000 lb hitch, 500 tongue weight. I want to use a tow dolly and tow my Prius. Can I also want to add a bike rack to the hitch. Both bikes weight a combined weight of 150 lbs (e-bikes).

Thoughts

You’re good IMHO
The tow dolly has very little tongue weight
Just make sure that your “dual high low hitch” is a sturdy one.
You know the saying…you can pay me now or pay me later.
That is, you don’t want the high low hitch to break a weld while you’re on the road.

Chances are you will need a drop hitch as the dolly will probably be lower than your receiver. If it were me, I’d carry the bikes on the car. Or on the ladder.

Carry bikes on….
- Car? It’s a Prius on a dolly. Not a good option IMHO
- Ladder? I don’t like that idea. 150# of E-bikes is too much weight

What Taylorbob said. 150 #s of dynamic weight on the ladder when it can barely support 200 #s static weight? That's a recipe for disaster.
