Even pickup trucks don't have 12 VDC at the hitch plug from the factory. Most are wired to the fuse box, but you gotta put the fuse in to make it hot. Unfortunately, most Thors don't have it prewired to the fuse box. If you are lucky, there may be a wire in the bundle, but you will need to trace it to the other end and make it hot yourself.

When I switch from our DP to an Axis I went from AirForce One braking to Patriot system. Since the Patriot uses 12v I added a charger/diode little box to keep the braking system from draining the jeep's battery while towing. I connected to the 12v on the jeep 7 pin connector and I had voltage there from the RV. When they installed the tow system (Demco) they redid the RV's 7 pin connector. Eckhart must have added 12v to it.

1. There is a 30 amp fuse somewhere that feeds the charge line of the 7 pin connector.
2. On ours it is only powered when the engine runs.
3. There are at least 3 fuse boxes, finally found the third one on ours; they may our may not be wired as the cover indicates or whats in the owners manual.

i got the plug down out of hitch and removed the black flex from plug to the left side frame. the plug is molded 1 piece about 4' long. the harness is wired to plug at that point, 5 of the wires are the same color .the hot wire the comes from plug is black. the harness wire that they used is orange. so next step is check the harness along the frame to the front. the ford fuse box under hood has 2 fuses and are both hot.
