Bike rack vs fueling

I have a 2017 Miramar. Which has the gas fueling location at back of the coach. Has anyone ever had trouble adding fuel, if you had a bike rack attached to the coach with bikes?

Thanks

We also fuel from the rear and have to remove the bikes before fueling. The ability to fuel from the rear was sold to me as a feature. I have found that it is a real PITA. If we purchase another RV I will make sure it does not have this feature.

Get a folding bike rack, they are designed to that folks with hatchbacks/Jeeps and the like can access the rear without unmounting. I have one of these, works great on coach and allows decent access to Jeep. Other models tilt more or differently, find one that'll clear your fuel fill..

Be careful with the tilting bike racks. You have to be strong enough to lift and then hold the weight of the bikes on the racks. For a seasoned citizen, that is not always easy.

Good point.. I think I've seen some that swing out, but they looked seriously overengineered and the rack itself very heavy.

Moving rack to front mounted receiver might be the easiest option if a folding rack isn't suitable.

Make sure you read about the bike rack before purchasing. We purchased a Hollywood bike rack because it was the only one rated for the weight of our electric bikes and in the manual it states not to tilt with the bikes installed.

That's solid advice for any purchase!

Hitch extension

We have the same issue with our 2021 miramar 34.6 we bought a hitch extension that moved the bikes and now have no problem.
