Is there away to test the breakaway feature? I had everything hooked up…. blue ox Patriot 2012 on Jeep Wrangler… and turned on.. and as a text I pulled the breakaway cord out of the front bumper… I assume the Patriot would have immediately apply the brakes.. but that didn’t happen.

What’s the best way to test that the Patriot 2012 brake system will apply the brakes in a break away situation.?

With everything set up and ready to tow... pulling the emergency disconnect SHOULD immediately apply pretty healthy (if not fully) brakes on the toad. If not... something isn't working properly...

What I did when I set my 2019 wrangler up is bought a 7pin round plug that fit the motor home and wired up my brake, tail, turn signals like normal and the blue wire normally used for electric trailer brakes is hot when the key is on so I ran it as a charge wire to my battery of course with a 30amp in line fuse.

Why didn't you just use the 12 VDC charging wire in the plug?
