That was a very good deal. The local RV dealer quoted $1,200 to install the base plate and wiring harness on my Fiat 500C. I had a local auto-shop do the install for $900 which included some miscilaneous parts. eTrailer is going to install the break system after the eclipse in August. They will do the break system install for free, while they make a how to movie.

Is there any way to tow a Kia soul with automatic transmission

What model year is it?

You can use the model year and look up your Kia in the towing guide found here. Note that the guides are for four-down towing, and not dolly towing.

Doing a quick search it looks like you can dolly tow it (an example search response is here).

We tow a Sentra SR Turbo 6 speed behind a 2018 Thor ACE 32.1. Blue Ox base plate and tow bar plus a Patriot braking system. Recently added the Protect a Tow for paint protection. Tows great and easy setup!

I’m flat towing a Chevy Sonic as my dinghy.

Blue Ox with a brake controller under the hood. Tech at dealership wired things so car battery charges during tow. No need to pull a fuse when in tow.

Brakes activate on hills and needed stops but not when in stop and go traffic. Awesome system.

The Sonic is a small car that tows smooth and easy. Tracks well behind the RV.

Hook up or detachment a super easy 5 min exercise.

2012 Honda CR-V EX-L AWD. I installed the baseplate and wiring myself. I owned the CR-V long before I owned an RV, and it met all my requirements for a toad -- room for kid and dogs, not too heavy, economical.

Blue Ox baseplate
Blue Ox Alpha tow bar
Blue Ox Patriot II brake system
Bulb and socket tail light kit
Hopkins towed vehicle battery maintainer
Protect-A-Tow rock guard
Larger, group 24 size battery

Does your brake controller require the key to be in ACC?

The purpose of pulling the fuse is to allow you to leave the transmission in N and turn off/remove the key since the Sonic does not have a steering wheel lock. I leave my DLIS fuse removed all the time.

We tow a Dodge Ram 1500 with Blue Ox tow bars and an RVI Brake 3 set up. The steering wheel does not lock on the Ram trucks and I have a constant live feed into the rvi brake so the vehicle does not have to be kept on accessory.

Have similar set up for 2017 Sonic sedan. Outstanding toad with lots of cargo flexibility. Just returned from 7K trip....only complaint, fuel fill is on opposite side compared to MH.

Just sold our old 2000 Wrangler and purchased a 2018 Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition. Not used to the Automatic Transmission but the wife loves it. Happy wife Happy Life. Last pic is our old Toad.

It a toad but we carry a pair of Tomos mopeds. Works for us. If we ever decide to full time or snowbird we may decide to tow our Ford Focus. I don’t really want to tow though.
