Wheel Lock or Boot

Hi All,

Our first RV was an Rpod and it was stolen out of our driveway.

We are looking for a wheel lock or boot or whatever they're called and wondering if anybody has one that they recommend or know will fit.

I don't see many posts on security so I'm glad to hear that there does not seem to be a lot of issues with this.

I found this place but can't get them on the phone...

The Flexible Anti-Theft Trailer & Vehicle Wheel Lock | Brahma Wheel Lock

Thanks for any input!
Sara & TJ

That MIGHT slow someone down a bit if they truly wanted to steal your trailer.
Our church had an enclosed trailer up on blocks, all 4 tires flat, tongue slightly bent making it hard to hook up with a ball lock installed & had an extension ladder chained through the wheels on 1 side & it stored lawnmowers & yard equipment. Theives somehow drug it about 10 blocks before the scratches in the pavement from the flat tires/wheels disappeared, trailer nor any of the equipment ever recovered.

Moral is, if theives want it they WILL get it.

Well, this time we have a motor home so that might help OR might not help at all.
I'm going to put as many contraptions on it as I can, nevertheless.

Thanks for the helpful post!

If you're still parking in your driveway my suggestion would be Costco or Sam's Club Samsung SmartCam plug it in anytime someone comes near your rig it will email you footage video sound of the person their car Etc if it's in your driveway it's just hooking up to your WiFi for $79 next time you'll at least know who stole your vehicle I used four of them them all over the house when I leave if you have an alarm system great but you never know who it is these cameras film 24/7 for $79 in my opinion the best protection you could get. I keep one pointing out on my front porch in case I have a delivery I could see the boxes I called the neighbor and ask them if they can please grab my box off the porch also films every single car driving past my house for protection. They do detect movement and any type of sound you will get a video on your phone immediately.

Thank you!

Thank you! That is helpful and sounds like a good deal. I've also installed an alarm system (specifically on the camper), a steering wheel lock, and we have one camera through our alarm system but it doesn't reach that far so these will be a great addition.

It all sounds really crazy until you have one stolen so I at least want to take all the precautions that I can take.

Everyone here is so nice and friendly. I'm so grateful for everyone's advice.

Thanks again!

The one thing I found out about the cameras on my porch and outside people will be shocked completely shocked at all the shenanigans going around their house that they never thought was happening good luck you never did say what motorhome you bought?

I bought the camera after the first camper was stolen because I was afraid that someone might try to come in our house and luckily, I have not seen much. However, added cameras would probably tell a different story.

We bought a 2018 Thor Chateau 24F. We are both teachers and we would really like to spend the summer doing some camping. Our ultimate goal would be to travel full time but that's still a ways away.

Oh wow! I hope I can make it that long. We made mid-life career change so we are almost to 10 years.

So glad your wife is getting to enjoy retirement!

That sounds like an AWESOME trip! I can't wait to do the same.

Thanks for the well wishes and same to you all.

Merry Christmas!!
