CURT 51180 Echo Mobile Electric Trailer Brake Controller with Bluetooth-Enabled Smart

Does anyone have experience with the CURT 51180 Echo Mobile Electric Trailer Brake Controller with Bluetooth-Enabled Smartphone Connection, Proportional,. Our 2016 Vegas has a 7 pin trailer connection, but no brake controller, so this model may be a solution in lieu of wiring. My main concern is loss of coverage in areas where I most need trailer brakes (mountains). Appreciate any comments.

Why would there be a "lack of coverage"? The bluetooth communication is between the 2 devices, nothing else is involved. It works on the coast, in the desert, in the mountains, and even in Space.

That's the answer I was looking for. Not as savvy with all these electronic gizmo's, but willing to learn. Thank You for assuring me.

You'll most likely find your brake controller wiring under the dash, since it has the 7 pin connector.

Ok, I'll look and do some investigating. We bought it used from a couple that used a Blue Ox braking system on their Jeep.
Thanks
