Drop hitch

I’m having my Ready Brute Elite installed on my Jeep tomorrow. Will I need a drop hitch? My Jeep has been lifted ( I think) if that makes a difference. Thanks

After you get installed: take measurements of the heights of the connection on it, and your hitch...
That'll ell you exactly what you'll end up needing.
Good luck!

This past weekend; I came across a 10" drop hitch...
I'd imagine that you'll have no trouble putting together the right combination: let us know what it takes. Good luck!

I’ve heard that using a drop hitch reduces the tow weight rating due to the “leverage” it places on the hitch. I’ve also heard that it doesn’t make any difference at all. It matters to me because my hitch is rated for 5,000lbs and my planned toad might be close to 4,000 lbs. not a lot of margin there. Can you all clarify this for me? Thanks.

Look at the drop hitches on eTrailer.com. They have one tow rating with no mention of how hi or lo the hitch is mounted.
