Ford Focus - Center Brake Light

I'm towing a 2018 Ford Focus SE four wheels down, with the Focus lights wired to work from my Windsport 27K. I used the Roadmaster diode kit and all works well.

I'm wondering if anyone has attempted to work the center brake light on the Focus into the wiring harness. I know it's not a requirement but does make the car more visible if the center brake light would work.

I haven't investigated yet to see how accessible the brake light wiring is; it's located up high on the trunk lid so I can't tell yet where the wiring harness might lead.

Has anybody tried it?
