Invisibrake for 2017 F250

Trying to get a material list to configure my 2017 F250 King Ranch (with Adaptive Cruise Control, etc).

I have found the base-plate through the fitment guides.

From the fitment guide :

Pull fuses? NO
Disconnect battery: NO
Drains battery when towing? NO
12-Volt Outlet Kit required? NO
Color of brake light switch wire: purple/white
Turn signal lighting is: combined
Can use Universal Wiring Kit? YES
Can use a Bulb and Socket Kit? YES

The biggest missing link is the Invisibrake - reading the guide here - https://roadmasterinc.com/pdf/inv_resource_guide.pdf

It mentions for the F250 `not recommended` -- I have emailed asking why. But I am curious, anyone using the F250 as a toad?

Did you ever get an answer from invisibrake on this? I’ve got a 2019 F250 and an invisible from an old toad I was considering using.

I have an Invisibrake on my Cherokee. I like the system as its plug and play.
I am wondering if the size and weight of the F250 is the restriction on why Roadmaster doesn't recommend it. The unit uses vacumm to pull a cable that pulls the toads brake pedal down. Is 250's brake system be too stiff for the control unit? Could cable length from brake pedal to control be a factor? Weight of the toad might factor, how much does a 250 weigh?
Those are about the only things I can think of that might restrict the Invisibrake from your application. I am interested to hear the Roadmaster response as to why they don't recommend their product for the F250.

They recommend the brake master

If you happen to have air brakes or hydraulic brakes we would recommend going with the brake master for that set up. The invisibrake is meant for smaller vehicles maxing out at F150's or 1500's it's just not recommended. Also, if the F250 happens to be a diesel the Invisibrake will definitely not work with it.

I bought the RVi brake3.

I haven’t considered the brakemaster, my biggest concern was engine braking... since I wouldn’t be applying the brake.

Diesels use hydroboost braking...no vacuum, so there's nothing to tap into for assist from the Invisibrake unit. Any supplementary braking system will require a lot of force on the pedal.

That is the reason I didn’t consider the RVi unit. I absolutely do not want the toad brakes engaged if I am using engine braking... I only want them engaged when I depress the brake pedal in the RV.
Brakemaster and Invisibrake (among others) only engage when the RV brake pedal is depressed.
To each their own...
