Keep Patriot

Anyone towing a Jeep Patriot?

We are going to up grade from our 1998 Chevy Tracker and need some input

Have a 2017 Four Winds 26B. With the Ford V10. Tow max is 8000 so they say

Jeep will come in around 3100lbs vs 2400 for the Tracker

Towing max is likely not 8000 lbs. Your hitch is rated for 8000 lbs the coach as a whole may have a different maximum.

To figure out your maximum take it to a scale (like a Cat Scale) and weigh it. Subtract your weight from your coaches GCWR value--that is how much you can tow.

Check your owners manual to be sure the Patriot can be towed flat, because of differences in transmissions and transfer box it's best to check first and avoid an expensive bill later.

Yes check your owners manual but more than likely your MH's
tow rate is 5000 lbs. My Hurricane is a 34E (35 Ft.) and that is
what it has, not 8000 lbs.

2WD and manual is the only combination that can be towed 4 down

Nope: Go weigh it. Can't trust a dealer.

Winning combination. Got a 4wd auto here, wish I could tow mine. You should have no problem.
