Welcome to the forum! Please be more specific about your question. We fixed a used Lincoln MKX to tow last winter with a Blue Ox baseplate and it towed fine behind our Vegas. Ours is fully loaded, including air conditioned front seats, a nice luxury in hot weather.

Part of the equation is what other use do you expect from your toad? Some reviews say the Ford Edge is a better value. Jeep folks will tell you that their brand will hold value better. The Motorhome Magazine dingy towing guide is an excellent resource.

That 2016 Cherokee Trailhawk will need the "Death Wobble" cable installed to electrify the steering before you can safely tow it.

Everybody will have their own ideas on tow set up.

We have a Roadmaster cross bar base plate, (which enables us to use the Roadmaster Tow Defender to protect the Jeep). Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain Towbar and the Roadmaster Invisibrake.
Other guys on here use Blue Ox or Demco or ?? and all have their own merits.
My research prior to buying led me to either Blue Ox or Roadmaster. We went with the Roadmaster set up based on my dealers recommendation.
In fact we bought the Trailhawk first then looked for a motorhome we liked to pull the Jeep.

"Death Wobble" is a misnomer. Not all trail hawks have it. The proper kit is called a "flat towing Kit". See my Jeep Cherokee Trail Hawk Flat tow mod.

'bros'? Is this site restricted to men? Another respondent referred to 'guys'. I did the research on our tow vehicle as well as the Blue Ox towing package.

What about "dudes"? Chics call each other "dude" now-a-days as well.

It appears the OP was a drive-by SPAMMER. The picture of the vehicle listing in his post was originally a link to a to that vehicle on a "cars for sale search site" which was removed as it looked too SPAMMY. As you can see, the OP has never returned.

Cherokees prior to model year 2019 per Jeep require the “Death Wobble” cable. Or the proper terminology the flat towing harness. Scuse me

Pretty sure you can't tow any AWD vehicle unless it is on a trailer. Look for possible TOADs at https://www.motorhome.com/index.php?...+towing+guides.

Toad

I have a 2015 ACE 27.1 and we tow a 2017 MKX but it’s a fwd we use a blue ox base plate, blue ox tow bar and a patriot ll brake . I don’t know if you can flat tow wad drive or not but check the owners manual. It tows nice but we can tell something is back there brakes smooth but can be a little jerky over speed bumps and railroad tracks.

Absolutely sure that is an inaccurate statement. Many AWD vehicles are fine to be towed 4 down but not on a dolly. Any question? Look in the vehicle's owners manual.

You should always check your owner's manual to see how your car can be towed. In general AWD vehicles cannot be towed 4 down or on a dolly. There may be exceptions but I've not seen them and I've researched it. If you know of one let us know.

Just Google it...

I found this in the FAQs at the Motorhome magazine website.
"I want to tow an AWD vehicle behind my motorhome. What’s required?
A: AWD vehicles, and 4WD vehicles that do not have a neutral position in the transfer case, should not, in most cases, be flat-towed without modifications. A trailer is the safest way to transport them. However, some can also be transported with the front axle on a tow dolly and with the rear driveshaft disconnected. That can be done with a device such as the driveshaft-disconnect kit made by Remco."

Significant modifications required so instead of towing my wife's AWD we bought a 4WD Wrangler.

Here's one just off the top of my head: Pre-2015 Honda CRV AWD can be flat towed. There are others as well. The key is NOT AWD; the key is can the transmission handle it. The same Honda CRV in 2WD can also be flat towed but the AWD can not be dolly towed as the "transfer case" can not handle the vast difference in speed between the front wheels not moving and the rear wheels moving at 65 mph.

Okay, you got me. I don't think that you can say most can be towed 4 down or on a dolly. It all boils down to checking the manual and research.

I never said "most"; I was just countering your " can't tow any AWD vehicle unless it is on a trailer" statement.

Another AWD vehicle that I thought of that is frequently towed is the Chevy Equinox.
