New Jeep Wrangler Toad

We just purchased a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport. It’s a four door. I’ve done some research and I’m about to pull the trigger on the following tow gear.

Blue Ox BX1126 Base Plate
NSA RV Products RB-9050 Ready Brute Elite Tow Bar)
NSA RV Products RS-5000 Break Away Device
Blue Ox BX88285 EZ Light Wiring Harness Kit for Jeep Rubicon/Wrangler
NSA RV Products (CLEVIS-BLUE OX) Blue Ox Tow Bar Clevis for Baseplates

Does this seem to be a reasonable setup for our Freedom Elite 24HE?
Am I forgetting anything?

Pete

I have the same jeep and use the NSA ready brute elite system. It works great you should be happy with it.

I went with the Roadmaster base plate and Hopkins light wiring kit.

I installed everything myself. Fairly easy but a little time consuming crawling under the jeep and running the light wires in the frame.

The roadmaster base plate is 6 bolts with no drilling or bumper removal necessary. I believe but not sure that the blue ox base plate needs the bumper to be removed

You will be happy with either base plate once its installed

Thanks Jerry! This is what I was looking for. I'll check into the Roadmaster Baseplate and Clevis.

Are you doing the install yourself
If yes then look at the roadmaster. Watch youtube videos of both installs.
Etrailer has videos. Someone posted that blue ox no longer needs the bumper removal so they may have changed their design

If no then either one will work just fine for you. Blue ox is a very good company

Once you decide check amazon they had the best prices for most of the stuff

Etrailer is also good with prices and if you call in for your order they will give you a 5% off

Thanks again, Jerry!

Did you have to raise or lower your receiver on the RV?

Look into Mopars tow wiring kit for the wrangler. Uses the jeeps lights and has a nice plug at the front for connection to the RV.

The Currie is what I have on my Wrangler. Nice tow points and sway bar protection to boot!
