New to me Wrangler Rubicon Hard Rock Edition

I just bought a new to me 2016 Rubicon Hard Rock Edition.

It has the stock Rubicon steel bumper on the front.

I also have a 2014 Wrangler Unlimited Sport and it has a Roadmaster baseplate with crossbar. It's a pain to hook up the tow bar to it as there's so many parts and other cables to connect.

So I'm trying to figure out a better solution for my Falcon 2 Roadmaster tow bar and my new Jeep.

Some people say new bumper with these special roadmaster hooks. Some say there is a baseplate for the Rubicon Hard Rock but when I looked it had the squares instead of the circles. Just trying to understand all my options.

I love the Roadmaster Invisibrake system so I'll probably just buy that again for my Rubicon.

What's with these "new" Wranglers?

I have a low mileage TJ and set it up to tow with a Blue Ox bar... looks a LOT simpler than your pic. But having true tow hooks integrated into a REAL frame sturdy bumper is a plus.

I also use an InvisiBrake and love it's simplicity. Actually my whole setup is dead simple. P.S. love the new lifted Jeep!

We bought the direct-connect Roadmaster base plates for our '20 Wrangler JLU. Our (used) Sterling tow bar can either be used with the crossbar; or direct-connect, which is lighter and easier to stow, IMO.

All we need to do is put the big pins through the connections, snap on the safety cables; and hook up the taillight system umbilical. Easy peasy!
