RS36 hitch distance from ground

My toad is in the shop getting setup for flat tow. I know I need to drop the hitch but I don't know how far. My RS36 is in storage and I can't get to it to measure. Hoping someone can tell me the measurement from center of hitch to the ground. One post said it's about 25 inches. Thanks.

I have an XG32 and I'm going to guess they are all close in the rear. I uses a 6" drop to tow the Ram and that puts me about 1" from being level on the tow bar. +- 3" was the recommendation from Blue Ox when I got it. The drop is a Roadmaster and very heavy duty. I'll measure when I get home this afternoon to confirm the receiver height. The amount of water will change the height. When I measure I'll let you know how much is on board.

The bottom of my hitch opening is 23 1/2" from a level concrete pad. Full fuel, 1/2 tank water, empty waste tanks.

Thank you. I ended up going with a 6 inch drop for a 2018 Grand Cherokee. Seems to be within the 3 inch range when flat.

I know this is an old post, but I figure I would update with what worked for me. My RS36 (F600 Chassis) hitch was at the perfect height for my Jeep Rubicon (JL) with a 2.5" lift on 35s. I pull right off of the aftermarket bumper. Tow bar is almost level. For my car trailer, I got an adjustable 12" drop hitch (Trimax Heavy Duty TRZ12ALHD).

It's 'towed', not toad.

Adjustable hitch for the towed(it isn't a toad) as well?
Is this a wrong suggestion?
Adjust to fit?
Works with your next towed?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you all mean by ball height....

Sorry for the confusion, I use a Blue Ox tow bar for the Rubicon as a toad. I was stating that with a 2.5" lift and 35 inch tires, the tow bar off the middle of the bumper of the Jeep is almost exactly the height of the receiver on the RV. I use the drop hitch of a 20' car trailer that I use to haul the ATV's and Side X Side. It's just a standard 6000 or 7000# car trailer. I was only putting that part out there because that is what I bought. I had to use the full 12" drop for my car trailer to sit level.

I meant.
Why all the consternation and measurement by others when an adjustable hitch will meet all circumstance?

You were the first to answer logically.
(Unless an adjustable hitch interferes with the tow mechanism.)

Many of the expensive tow bars slide straight into the receiver, not onto a ball, so that won't work. They gotta have something like this.

Correct, but with my set up (the Jeep I referenced), I do not need an adapter. It is the correct height without it. I did have to use one of those on my old Class A. It is a lot nicer to not have to. There is a bit more slop and more weight. The more weight makes it a bit more difficult to put it on and take it off.
