Thor Delano and Cherokee Trailhawk

Looking to get a good daily driver for my wife to also pull behind a Delano. Looking at a 22 Cherokee Trailhawk but it seems to be at the limit of towing for the Delano. I would appreciate anyone's opinions or experience on this. I am willing to disconnect over the larger passes if required.

The 2022 Trailhawk’s curb weight is 4,250 lbs. The Sprinter’s max combined weight is 15,250 of which the max weight on the chassis is 11,030. That leaves a margin of 4,220. As it is likely you will be pushing the max weight on the chassis (you have to include the weight of the tow bar attached to the hitch). I would suggest looking at something lighter.

We pull a 2015 Ford C-Max hybrid that weighs just over 3,600 with our Gemini 24TF. Great driving car and very economical but I wouldn’t want to tow anything much heavier.

Good luck.
