Anyone tow a MiniCooper

Thinking of getting a mini cooper for a toad, does anyone use a mini cooper? what type of set up did you use and was it difficult to attach to the cooper?

Set up a 2008 mini. 6speed manual. Used a roadmaster tow bar with a ball coupling. Needed to do that because mini being low to the ground I needed a drop ball hitch to get the tow bar close to level.

We tow a 2015 Cooper S with an American Car Dolly. The Mini is an automatic so we have to use the dolly.

Ron, did you end up getting a Mini? We are hauling ours in a 24' enclosed along with the motorcycle, so our set up probably won't help you.

A couple good things about the Mini as a toad is that they get very good MPG as a daily driver, most models weigh under 3,000 pounds, and even though they sit low to the ground the wheels are stretched out to the ends of the body so it is still difficult to drag.
