Any information you can share would be well received. Plus, you're right, being "stuck" in a nice park is not a bad thing. I do have a bicycle rack and two nice bikes.
No welding required and if you get a bulb insert wiring harness all you have to do is route the wires from the tail lights to the front of the vehicle: no "wiring" involved.

What kind of camera system do people use to see their toad, while driving down the road?

The in-dash unit I have allows me to turn on the rear-view camera; so that I can keep an eye on the Toad. But it will switch over to side-views; when I put the turnsignals on...

Chevy Spark manual transmission, 2200#
It’s actually built in South Korea, only 1% of parts are from Chevy

The BlueOx bolt-on baseplate was $400 on Amazon + Amazon BlueOx $200 tow bar,
No brakes necessary due to light-weight.

It’s a winner for us.

The one installed by Thor when they built the coach.

Check your radio manual on how to turn on the rearview camera without shifting into reverse.

What year is that Spark?
If my Smart ever dies from being an orphan: that looks to be a suitable replacement.

I’ve never seen anyone coil the safety cables around the tow bars like that. Is that “a thing”?

No to mention "No towing after 10 PM!!" CV-19 is most active overnight.

Alternative

I currently don't have a toad - used to drag a Jeep Wrangler around behind a previous rig. We got the Axis with the idea that its size and mobility added flexibility to our planning.

We may add a toad in the future but for now - the ebike and URB-E scooter get me around. We typically don't stay put for more than 2-3 days and do a lot of boondocking, if that term includes camping at local and state campgrounds with no hookups as well as dispersed BLM and such.

That said, we have a two week trip planned to Yellowstone next year and, intend to do a lot of sightseeing - first time there for both of us. We reserved a rental car in Idaho Falls for 8 days of the trip - about $40 per day. That means we drive 867 miles in the Axis to Idaho Falls, then about 100 miles to our first campsite, Victoria in the rental, me in the Axis. Double that for the round trip and we will have traveled around 2,000 miles w/o towing.

Towing Mini

We have a 2018 Freedom Elite 24FE Mercedes Sprinter and load an automatic shift Mini on an Acme Tow Dolly...no problems whatsoever. The Acme is lightest weight tow dolly.

I’ve been towing a Mini for three years with no complaints or problems. 2009 six speed manual.

Since the Missus can't drive a stick: how much does that tow dolly weigh?
