Vegas 25.3 Hitch Class

Good morning, all.....I am new here......we are looking at purchasing a Vegas 25.3 and was trying to find out what class hitch is on this RV....more specifically what the weight limit is in the vertical direction. I would like to carry a scooter around with us as carriers are available that hook up to the hitch receiver.
Thanks in advance for your help

welcome to the forum

usually a 2" hitch has a tongue weight (how much weight is on the hitch it's self) of 350 to 500 lbs. when you see the rating that's how much weight total you can tow. for example, a 10,000 rating could tow a 1,000lbs trailer with a 9,000lbs car or truck on it. you obviously dont want to go right to the limit as there are many variables to account for. i personally never go over 80% the raiting for safety.

they do make hitch platforms for scooters. no trailer needed. just account for your total weight and you should be fine.

What year? It will be at least a 5000# capacity, 500# tongue weight hitch and possibly a 8000#, 800# hitch.

I think its 500# for tongue weight.

8000 for hitch (as long as your not over the Gross combinded weight of 22,000).

My Axis scales in around 12500# loaded up with water, gas, supples and just me in it. So I could two the full weight.
