I am not sure if this will reach you but here goes.
I have towed a 2010 Subaru for many years and it has performed very well. Only manual transmission Subarus are towable and only 4 wheels down. The latest info from Subaru is that 2016 and later Subarus are NOT towable, except at slow speeds.
The odometer does not register the mileage while being towed.
I don't think the attachments for towing are mor or less than for other cars.
Sorry I was late answering your message but I just found it.

Not sure this worked like I thought. I thought I was sending you a private message.....
I just bought a used 32ft Four Winds Class C. I also own a small car lot and need to find a vehicle to tow. I have wanted to use a 2010 or newer Outback but can't find anything about people using it. It looks like you have been doing it without issues. How much modification was needed to install tow bar? Do you have the 4cl with CVT or manual trans..... or the 6cl? Do the miles keep racking up while towing? Any help or advice you could give would be awesome.
