New Florida Resident

Florida Resident here
Purchased a 2018 24.1 Vegas about 5 or 6 months ago
I'm an Architect and have absolutely no Mechanical skills
So sometimes I miss the obvious things
An example is I have looked and looked for the water tank drain but I don't find it. Suggestions?

Another issue I seem to have is easily accessing the engine oil fill. I have not removed the interior engine cover seems the only possible way?

Welcome to the forum! The first thing you need to do is access Ed Felker's excellent crowd-sourced manual for Vegas/Axis. It's a sticky under "Motorhome Tech Topics."

Pay special attention to the part about the Use/Store switch. That's the first thing you need to learn. The search feature on the forum here will answer many of your questions. If you can't find it there, you'll find a lot of great help here.

Another good thing is to call Thor with your VIN and ask for all the schematics for your RV. They will be a good resource to answer some of your questions.

The oil fill is really high and some use a funnel and hose contraption to get oil into it. I've done that for oil changes and also used the battery access under the flip desk. The good news is you probably will not need to add oil between oil changes. The engine cover will not get you anywhere near the oil fill tube.

24.1

The water tank drain should be a regular bathroom valve at the bottom of the fresh water tank under the passenger side bed. It will take a while to drain because of the size of the plumbing is small.

Welcome aboard and congrats on that 24.1! We looked hard at that unit when we were upgrading to a new coach. I still like that floorplan a lot. As I am not what one would consider svelte the size of the shower finally moved us on to an ACE. Still, that is one nice coach! :thumb::thumb:
