Dining Table Rattles

Maybe an answer to the rattles in the dining room. I thought that silicone would be a good insulator for the metal to metal contact.

I sprayed silicone on a paper towel and wipe all the connecting metal surfaces. Since doing this I've only driven 9 miles and no rattles. We will do a longer drive in a couple of weeks for a good test.

RV was in storage for 3 weeks. Drove 48 miles to my dealer for warranty service and no rattles. So far, it looks good. Has anyone else tried this?

I use a wooden shim from a hardware store - push the dinette up and slide it in the slide mechanism just enough so it is snug - worked great!
