Fuel Solenoid on carburetor not getting voltage
 
On an Cummins Onan 4000KW, after troubleshooting why it wouldn’t run unless I sprayed the carburetor. Then would die. Fuel pump fine, carburetor new, control board new.... ok now. I check carburetor solenoid no voltage . Thus no fuel. Can’t find broken wire and no voltage on solenoid leads?????
Can I put 12 bolts to solenoid to test or where do I look?????

Yes I don't see any problem if you disconnect the current leads and apply 12V to the solenoid terminals to see if it works. This of course will determine if it is the power leads or the solenoid itself being the problem.

If it works, then measure the voltage at the leads with them disconnected when turned on. That will confirm that it is the power leads that are the problem.

Not sure about your model, but many have a low oil pressure switch that will open that lead and cut off the fuel supply

Also, how much gas to you have in the RV? Most have a safety to not run you out of gas w the generator. I think book said 1/4 tank. Thx Dennis.

Thanks I was hoping that the oil switch was bad. Unfortunate I found out that the 4000 micro guilt is a pancake engine. Like a lawn mower. Oil is splashed no pump no sensor.

Also you may have an oil level switch, at normal oil levels it should be open circuited.
