Hello

U'm looking at purchasing a class c, or b motorhome in the near future. One of the main requirements I have us that the motorhome not have a slide out. Currently I am interested in the 22E floorplan as that has no slideout, and that it is not that long. Also I would like to know how difficult would it be to put solar panels on the motorhome, and if I did would it void any warranties?

Welcome, you'll find some great experience and knowledge here. Solar panels have been discussed, including the limitations and shortcomings. Try searching the forum threads.

My personal opinion is that the smaller slides like those on the Vegas and Axis should be less trouble prone because they are lighter. I am hoping that theory holds true with time!

Good luck with your search!

The 22E is a nice compact Class C. Easy to move like a car, when you just need to go.

Solar panels are very easy to install, it just depends how comfortable you are drilling holes into your new roof. The other issue is the amount of available real-estate on a Class-C roof. Unless you want to mount panels on the cab-over section, space is limited.

A few of the most efficient panels would provide enough power for virtually unlimited steady 12v DC camping. But not really enough panel space for a big "off-grid" 120v AC system with several 6V golf cart batteries and a large 2000Watt+ inverter.
