Hi From Missouri! Just got Axis 24.1!

My boyfriend and I just got the 2017 Thor Axis 24.1 from Camping World of Mid-Missouri.

My biggest issue is trying to get the three TV's to network with each other. Anyone know if there is a thread already about this?

Thanks!
Amelia and Todd

Hi Amelia and Tod. Welcome aboard and happy trails.
The TV's do not network together. Each has it's own remote and can be tuned to different channels. You can use the roof antenna to feed them or the external cable connector. If you use the connector, you have to turn off the amplifier.

Check out this thread by Ed Felker. He has taken the time to write a great manual with a wealth of information.

Congrats and Welcome! If your Axis TV's are similar to my Windsport, there is an HDMI switch located in one of the cabinets. If so, you can plug any HDMI component (such as a DVD player or satellite tuner) into one of the HDMI inputs on the back of that switch. Then, use the remote of each TV to select "HDMI 1" as the INPUT.

I'm sure other Axis owners will know.

Tom,
The Axis 24.1 does NOT have the HDMI switch.

What part of Missouri?

Hi Amelia and Todd, Welcome!
May I suggest you take some time to browse through the various threads in this Forum. This has really helped Terry and me. We’re still going through our own full orientation and testing at our home in the driveway. The manual compiled by Ed Felker is absolutely outstanding. I send a note to the customer service depart at Thor and in 2 days they sent back detailed drawings and layouts for our 25.2.
You'll be buying lot's of "stuff" no doubt. However although they are sometimes a little expensive, if you don't have one, I suggest you get a surge protector as one of the early purchases. An uncontrolled surge can do really serious damage in just a few seconds. We got a TRC Portable Surge Guard 30 AMP Power Protection 34830, but there are less expensive brands available and may be recommended by others.
We hope you enjoy your new coach! May see you on the road.
Best Regards, Terry and James

Amelia and Todd,

Welcome to the Forum and best of luck with the learning curve of being an RV owner.

We purchased our's 13 months ago and spent the first 5 months fixin' stuff: Alignment, warranty work, Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer, batteries, cables, screws, bolts, locks, cosmetic repairs and just odds and ends.

If you have a good dealer great; if not you will have to work thru THor, so document everything, be patient, be polite and be persistent (took me 7 months to get one problem fixed and reimbursed).

I would suggest searching the threads on:
Steering Stablizers (Safe-T-Plus is what we went with),
Front End Alignment (Just do it and then deal with Thor vs Ford; I was told that if it was the Toe In/out then it was Thor's problem, if Caster and Camber it was Ford's. The threads this Forum will show where some got reimbursed, some did not and some negotiated it as part of the deal for the sale).
Batteries and Charging problems.
Tire Pressure.

If you cover those four early on you will travel more safely and the other problems can be dealt with as they come up.

At the local Ford Dealership was a 2017 Ford Mustang 500 GT Shelby Convertible with all the bells and whistles sticker priced at $69K before tax and fees. It only has two doors...your RV costs a little more than that but comes with a lot more than two doors so be prepared to have things that need fixin' and/or replacement.

Now a little over 1 year we are having a blast in our RV "Ms. Enterprise...to boldly go".

Good luck, safe travels and be patient.

Doc

Welcome and enjoy the Axis. Send me an email to bevedfelker@live.com and I'll forward the manual others referenced. We are currently camping in PA and I won't have access to my computer until about 9 Jul, but I'll get the manual to you as soon as I can.
