I've not tried it on an awning, but "awesome" is fantastic on removing stripes and water marks etc. on the sides of vehicles and trailers, so it might work well on awning too!

If you've still not installed the fireplace I might suggest you check with dealer as 2016 units have the FP option. Sorry, but not sure of the model.

For the record a 100 gallon water tank full is not close to 800 lbs, but over 800 lbs. 834 lbs to be exact. A lot of weight to haul around if not needed!
