I've only had one mess up and wouldn't turn at all.

Slamming door
Yes the latch on door jam just needs to be adjusted up/down or in/out.

Swivel seat
Swivel seat - slide lever toward the inside of the coach. It works better if you have seat slid forward before turning. Once I slide lever my seat immediately releases to turn.
