You see the cable on the positive that has a bit of red peaking through? I thought it was negative and tried hooking it so. No wonder I had sparking! Problem solved, thanks again.

Dummy me, I must be getting old. Looked at the situation afresh this morning. I had zip tied 2 sets of cables together so I wouldn’t lose them AND zip tied the positives together and the negatives...

Could someone post photos of how their house battery cables are connected? I replaced my 2 batteries and ended up with 2 cables extra, and am not sure where they connect. One is a large diameter...
