slide out jamming in the middle
With our unit there was some cables hanging down, getting pinch. I just tucked them back up and closed the velcro cover. It worked fine but I do check now and then.

My posting doesn't really help for the Challenger 37TB. There is a Utube on installing a Dirt devil central vac. It will give you the basics of what needs to be done.
