Actually, that substantially reduces the output volume of that register... It does increase the speed of the air and probably does increase flow to the duct-work

I pulled a Ram 1500 behind a B+ (E450) for about 7 years, the only issue I had was on down grades. (if I let the speed get up over 60 - 65 mph, it would feel a little "squirrely")
I haven't towed it...
