Last summer I saw a guy use facetime! He had his daughter facetime him with her phone. She held the phone over the hitch while he backed up (this was to hitch up a 2nd trailer onto a 5th wheel).

Our Axis has a mic on the backup camera.

It is also really quiet and turns on even when you switch to the rear camera while driving--have to manually turn off the mic if you want to still listen...
