If mine was any bigger I would get another one as well. Some of that additional electric cost would be mitigated by them running less.

I use a dual barbeque temp probe that I verified calibration with another thermometer....

As Mo-Mike said, after removing the cover feel the air coming directly out of the blower and compare to what you feel out of the roof vents and that will tell you how well insulated your ducts are....
