It's handy to rotate the chairs when you have guests visiting. Also, with my swivel arm for the TV, its makes for a better view.

No, they don't. It's usually not a problem but I do have a one step folding stool that I can use for a foot rest.

For about $1400 each, you can replace these seats for ones with a fold out foot...
