Like I said. IF you have it disconnected at the furnace entry the problem is within the furnace. Where did you disconnect the furnace 12 volts.

Did you disconnect 12 volt power or t-stat wires?

If you have the furnace disconnected just outside of where the wire goes into the unit then the short is on the furnace control board. Inside the unit and very hard to get to.

12 volt dc to power control circuit. Used by Fridge, WH, Furnace. Also range hood exhaust fan.:thumb:
