Take your white ones off and check them. I pulled them off to repack my bearings and they were cracked. And I torqued them to their spec of 19 lbs.

I did the middle as we know what happens to when they are over torqued. :whistling: I would bet it is the compression on the o-ring that really helps keep it on creating a good seal.

I just put 4 new ones on mine. The torque specs for them from DRV are 18-20 ft lbs. I torqued mine to 19 ft lbs.

Not sure how the moryde independent suspension is set up yet. It would be cool if it was set up that way. But I would worry about putting to much pressure on the seals. Plus any grit I would want...

I agree and said the same thing to them about cleaning out and re packing the wheel bearings and cleaning and inspecting the spindle also. I'm picking up a 2 3/16 socket today.

I will have to check but Greg told me I think 16 or 18 ft pounds. As there initial specs might be to much. I was thinking of starting a torque spec thread as a resource for everyone.

I agree completely. That is why I have a 1/2 inch and 3/8 inch torque wrenches. WOW 2 3/16 socket... That is one large socket. Where did you get the torque specs from? Is it a nylon locking...

I think DRV does not use oil bath never lube bearings anymore. They are all packed with grease now.
