Just checked. Yes when the slide is moving the LEDs are flashing until the motors stop then the LEDs are both on steady for a short time then go off.

You appear to understand the system. What does Hall effect do? Thor had me disconnect the motor plugs and ohm out the Hall effect wires to see they are shorted. No shorts were found....
