There is an inspection plate on the front of the shower pan. You can check the area under there as well as the toilet platform. The heater ducts under there go into the holding tank compartment....

2016 and later they changed to 2 separate doors hinged at the wall. You may be able to convert to that setup. (easier to find or duplicate. Thor may have.
