I believe your converter charges your batteries. Do the lights and other 12 volts stuff work?

Same thing I did. It's actually not that bright....

Same thing I did. It's actually not that bright. Even with the switch off it is still lit up.
With the cover over it, can't see it.

Understand. I also like being able to monitor amps with the generator on and if there is a problem it will give you a code.

I hard wired mine after the transfer switch. I would think hardwiring before the switch on the shore power side would not protect you when on the generator. My display shows amp, volts, hz and errors...
