My Miramar may be different, but the vent pipe was actally inside the outer pipe you show in the picture. The sealant between the 2 pipes was missing allowing odors to sometimes get into the cavity...

No I didn't think of it at the time. But if you can imagine one PVC pipe inside the other, that's what it looks like. I only noticed it on rare occasions and first thought I had a toilet gasket...

I found my issue was simple to fix...difficult to...

I found my issue was simple to fix...difficult to find. It was suggested by Thor customer service to get on the roof, remove the vent cap and check the space between the vent pipe and the outer tube...
