We have a similar problem. I overcame it with a queen size air mattress. Fits between the recliners and the TV cabinet.

Replaced couch

Completed project today replacing sofa/bed with dual recliners from RecPro. Turned out great thanks to a friend's guidance. Very pleased with RecPro.8425
