Yes that's right. Evidently the only stuff powered by the engine battery is the engine, headlights and that sort of stuff. I guess that's to help guard against running it down via any camper type...

I feel your pain. I too am new to RVing. I have a '16 Thor Ace 21.7
As many folks on this site have testified, my factory batteries were sub par and I had to put new ones in to start my 2nd season....
