The white, whole house filter (as they call it) was freely hanging directly over an electrical outlet. I moved the outlet, and placed a block under the filter so that it was not 'hanging'.

I had the same problem as the OP last July and received a replacement from DRV. I also talked with Kantleak's tech support and he advised to cut the water pressure prior to rotating the selector...
