When I removed the strainer for cleaning on my Chateau, I had 30 gallons of water leaking into my RV from the Fresh Water tank.
I would drain the tank prior to any repair.

Thanks for all of the replies and suggestions. I did manage to get up on the roof yesterday to clean it but did not remove the vent covers.

Made it to the CAT Scales in Bow, NH last week and got the Chateau weighed.

Front: 3740 lb
Rear: 7440 lb
Total: 11180 lb

The Thor door label states:
