My Honda EU2000 does not work properely since the ground[white] wire is not bonded to neutral as it is on house systems. You can make a plug that connects ground (green) to neutral (white) near the inverter and I'll bet the GFI will work. It's worth a try. Migt work if the RV connects those two as well?
