Axis/Vegas Battery Access

Yes, it is a pain how they did or did not plan for chassis battery access on these RVs. It appears most of us have bit the bullet and have removed the passenger desk area, cut an opening in the wood, installed a hinge in some cases and then sealed it back up with some type of tape.

I can see where it would be possible to remove the right tire and the wheel well panel over the tire to access the battery area but what a pain in the behind! I also took the opportunity to reroute the two air ducts that were placed directly above the battery posts making a possible arcing with the metal springs inside the ducts possible.

This unfortunately is one of the prices we pay for putting a box over a stripped chassis. Still drives better in my opinion than a Class C for comfort. Just my personal opinion.
